1. Search Analytics
AddSearch provides a built-in analytics dashboard giving site managers visibility into how visitors interact with search - without using cookies or tracking personal user data.
Analytics Metrics Available
- Top search terms: Most frequently searched queries over any selected date range - core signal of what content visitors need
- No-result queries: Searches that returned zero results - a direct signal of content gaps or indexing issues. AddSearch's Auto Synonyms feature uses this data to automatically propose synonym pairs that would have returned results.
- Click-through rate (CTR): Which results visitors click after searching - identifies high-performing and underperforming content
- Search volume trends: How search activity evolves over time; identifies seasonal patterns and emerging topics
- Conversion tracking: Configure purchases, form completions, or downloads as conversion events and measure which searches lead to them
- AI Answers analytics: Questions asked via AI Answers, source pages used to generate responses, and visitor engagement with AI-generated content
- AI Conversations analytics: Topics explored in multi-turn conversations, content discovery paths, follow-up question patterns
- Autocomplete analytics: Which autocomplete suggestions are selected vs. ignored
- Gain Insights into User Search Behavior: Understand how users navigate the site without cookies - what terms they use, pages they visit, and behaviors that shape their journey
Analytics History
- Core plan: standard retention window
- Growth plan: 180-day analytics history
- Enterprise plan: 1-year analytics retention
Google Analytics Integration
Search events (queries, result clicks, no-results, AI Answers interactions) can be pushed to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) as custom events - enabling search performance data to be analyzed alongside overall site analytics.
Privacy
AddSearch analytics do not use cookies and do not store personally identifiable information. Visitor behavior is tracked at the session level only, in compliance with GDPR and similar privacy regulations. This is an active product differentiator - full search behavior visibility without cookie consent complexity.
2. Search UI & Design
AddSearch provides both a ready-made search widget for fast self-serve deployment and a full custom Search UI design and build service on higher plans.
Ready-Made Search Widget
AddSearch's JavaScript-based search widget can be embedded on any page with a few lines of code. Provides a fully functional search interface out of the box including: search input field, autocomplete dropdown, results page with filters/facets, and result cards. Fully responsive for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Appearance configurable via CSS.
Custom Search UI (Advanced & Enterprise Plans)
On Advanced and Enterprise plans, AddSearch's own team builds a fully custom search UI tailored to the site's design system, brand, and specific functionality requirements. This is included in the plan price - not a separate agency engagement. Implementation typically takes 2–4 weeks. Delivered as production-ready code.
JavaScript UI Library
An open-source JavaScript UI library (available on GitHub) for development teams that want full control. Includes pre-built components for autocomplete, result lists, facets, pagination, and more.
3. CMS & Platform Integrations
- WordPress: Native plugin - index WordPress content automatically, configure search from within the WP admin
- Any other CMS: Crawler-based or API-based indexing works with Drupal, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, Sanity, custom builds, headless CMSs, and legacy systems
API Reference
- Search API: Query the AddSearch index programmatically - build custom search UIs, mobile apps, or integrate search into any front-end framework
- Indexing API: Push content records to the AddSearch index in real time; supports custom fields, metadata, and structured data
- JavaScript Client Library: Simplifies Search API integration in browser-based applications

Implementation Timeline
Self-serve (ready-made widget): same day. Custom implementation by AddSearch's team: typically 2–4 weeks depending on site complexity, content volume, and functionality requirements. Dedicated implementation support included on Advanced and Enterprise plans.
